Modern Conservatories
All modern conservatories that meet building regulations have reinforcing posts that will take the weight of a warm roof. All the warm roof systems we have installed have actually been designed to weigh the same or less than a glazed roof. So if your conservatory was installed by an honest builder since 1996 when the regulations came in – you’ll definitely be fine.
Older Conservatories
Conservatories built before 1996 were not as strictly controlled, so it is possible that they may not have the level of structural support that we would deem safe to proceed without some preliminary actions. However, our initial survey will determine the suitability of the structure and, where required, we will install a structural solution that will support your Warm Roof.
Specialist and Atypical Conservatories
If your conservatory has a particularly unusual design or shape, there is a possibility that this could make converting it to a solid warm roof conservatory difficult. This can be assessed with a free site survey. We have worked with and successfully transformed several unusual conservatory roofs over the years and will do our best to find a solution.
