The homeowners came to us because their conservatory was out of action for most of the year. In the summer it was far too hot and in the winter it was expensive to heat.
The traditional glazed roof was old looked unappealing, and offered little in the way of insulation.
The goal was to bring the conservatory up to date and create an extension-like space which could be used all year round.
Our installers arrived on site for 8 am to commence works. We always start by covering and protecting the working area. We then move on to removing the existing conservatory roof as well as the old windows and doors.
The new uPVC casement windows and uPVC french doors are fitted. The homeowner chose a dual colour option of white on the internal side and anthracite grey externally.
Time for the roof to go on! Our installers complete the internal and external works, including new guttering and rainwater pipes. The inside is now ready for plastering.
Electics go on, including 6 x LED down lights. The new ceiling and walls are then plastered internally and the electrics can be reconnected. A final clean-down is then carried out before completion.
This Edwardian style roof replacement has completely changed the way that this space can be used. It is a comfortable temperature and still allows plenty of natural light in due to the uPVC windows and French doors.
The roof has been tiled with Burnt Umber Metrotiles which complement the rest of the property.

We work with a number of talented trades people so we can get everything done as part of the project, meaning when we pack up and go, your room is ready to use.
Mr and Mrs black decided to have a velux window at the front of the roof to make the most of the natural light, as well as 6 LED downlights installed in the newly plastered ceiling.
