The Forma Window range is Rationel’s heritage-style window and is suitable for heritage property renovations and those looking for a heritage aesthetic for their new-build property.

What is the difference between Rationel Forma and Forma Plus? The Forma window frame is made of solid wood, with no external cladding. The Forma Plus window frame is composite, but not as we know it! Unlike traditional composite often used for doors (typically wood and uPVC), this composite has a solid wood core and an external aluminium cladding. The Forma window has an expected lifespan of 60 years and the Forma Plus has an expected lifespan of 83 years.

Because the whole frame is aluminium-clad, the Forma Plus achieves a cleaner more minimalist finish with fewer visible joins.

Forma window frames come in a wide selection of colours. The options displayed here are the standard colour range available for both Forma and Forma Plus. More colour options are available – We will show you a swatch at the quote stage as screen colours will vary.
It is also worth noting that should you wish to change the colour of your Forma windows in the future this is possible for both Forma and Forma Plus.
Forma windows are made of timber and can be painted directly, and Forma Plus windows have an aluminium-clad exterior which can be changed without altering the timber core.
